Can tell Boy was tripping, but (easily) one of the greatest modern acoustic guitar performances ever. Best version by far, you can tell he's playing the hardest he's ever played. This, to me, is poetry l. Beautiful melody, unyielding passion, &, absolute pureness of intent. Instrumentals can be such a unifying force, that music with vocals simply can't produce. 🇩🇪...hatte die Direktschnitt-Venyl damals für 40DM im Saturn Köln erstanden & was soll ich sagen; ein Frequenz - u. Dynamikumfang v. dem CD Fans gelegentlich nur träumen können. Meine damalige Anlage (Pionier SA8500 II, Dual CS1249 mit Glanz-System, Tangent TM1 mit KEF-Bestückung [T27/B200 legendär]) hat es anstandslos "verdaut" - ohne zerstörte Chassis... Die Bassdrum war phys. spürbar - ein irrer Punch. Anschlag der Snare (Rimshots etc.) & Toms absolut realistisch - weiß wovon ich spreche bin Drummer - , die Cymbals glasklarer metallischer Klang. Percussion & Bass ebenfalls eine Offenbarung. Congas, Naturfelle - eindeutig zu hören. Der Bass - man vernimmt das Schnarren der Saiten eindeutig. Alles in Allem: Ein absoluter Ohrenschmaus...! 🇬🇧...I bought the direct cut vinyl for 40DM at Saturn Cologne & what can I say; a frequency and dynamic range that CD fans can sometimes only dream of. My system at the time (Pioneer SA8500 II, Dual CS1249 with Glanz-System, Tangent TM1 with KEF equipment [T27/B200 legendary]) "digested" it without any problems - without destroying the chassis... The bass drum was physically noticeable - a crazy punch. The attack of the snare (rimshots etc.) & toms is absolutely realistic - I know what I'm talking about as a drummer - the cymbals have a crystal clear metallic sound. Percussion & bass also a revelation. Congas, natural heads - clearly audible. The bass - you can clearly hear the buzzing of the strings. All in all: an absolute feast for the ears...!

Also gerade in der Livefassung knallt die "UTP" ganz schön rein.Bisher fand ich speziell die von den 5 "V.I.R.U.S." Alben von "Alva Noto" und "Ryuichi Sakamoto" die am schwersten zugängliche.Aber nachdem ich jetzt den Auftritt hier gehört bzw gesehen hab,kann ich verstehen,dass für viele die "UTP" den Höhepunkt dieser Kollaboration darstellt.Klangforschung vom allerfeinsten.

Ebenfalls danke von mir. Die Stelle ab 6:10 lief vor 30 Jahren hier im Kino als Trailer. Das ganze Kino lag am Boden ... aber gegen Ende wirds ja alles andere als lustig, wenn ich das recht in Erinnerung habe. Sehr interessant, sich das JETZT nochmals reinzuziehen!
